Election of Temporary Vice Chair <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to recommend Michael Root for the Temporary Vice Chair <br />role. <br />Motion was supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 3 - 0. (Root abstained.) <br />Michael Root will serve as the Temporary Vice Chair until a permanent Vice Chair has <br />been appointed. <br />VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Metropolitan Council 2015 System Statement <br />Katie Larsen, City Planner, presented the staff report. More updates will be coming in <br />the fall. <br />The board and city staff further discussed employment projections, affordable housing <br />needs, transportation improvements, and population forecasts. <br />B. Proiect Updates I i <br />Michael Grochala, Community Development Director, provided an update of current city <br />projects. <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 7:21 p.m. Motion was supported <br />by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 3 - 0.
