Council Member Bergeson <br />adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 55 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - WARE ROAD, <br />STREET AND UTILITY CONSTRUCTION. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Ware <br />Road, Street and Utility Construction, bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the <br />advertisement: <br />Company Bid Amount <br />S. Weidema, Inc. <br />Richard Knutson <br />Arnt Construction <br />Barbarossa & Sons <br />Northdale Construction <br />$ 1,420,498.13 <br />$ 1,447,207.84 <br />$ 1,471,754.55 <br />$ 1,511,672.64 <br />$ 1,511,933.56 <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with S. R. Weidema, Inc., 17600 113th Avenue North, Maple Grove, Minnesota <br />55369, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the Ware Road <br />Street and Utility Construction according to the plans and specifications approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br />and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />
