Council Member Lyden introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION 98-108 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING INTO THE CITY OF LINO LAKES PERSONNEL <br />POLICY HANDBOOK, A DATA PRACTICES ADVISORY <br />WHEREAS, During the course of city employment, an employee may be asked to <br />provide personal information which may be classified as either private or <br />confidential, and, <br />WHEREAS, It is important that employees understand State of Minnesota Data Privacy <br />rules, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13, and <br />WHEREAS, Employees should know why they are providing potentially private or <br />confidential information about themselves, and <br />WHEREAS, Every employee receives a copy of the Personnel Policy Handbook, and <br />�— will subsequently be exposed to this advisory, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino <br />Lakes hereby adopts into the Lino Lakes Personnel Handbook the attached Data Practices <br />Advisory. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th Day of July, 1998. <br />Lil <br />Marl13/n G. nderson, Clerk/Treasurer <br />kit,,,, <br />Sulll an, Mayor <br />
