Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-175 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING LIVABLE COMMUNITY GOALS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has elected to participate in the Local Housing Incentives <br />Program under the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act; and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act requires the Metropolitan Council to <br />negotiate with each municipality to establish affordable and life -cycle housing goals for that <br />municipality that are consistent with and promote the policies of the Metropolitan Council as <br />provided in the adopted Metropolitan Development Guide; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes has <br />accepted the following goals for the community with the understanding that the goals will be re- <br />examined and may be renegotiated based upon the decennial census and market conditions. <br />City Goals <br />Affordability <br />Ownership 65% <br />Rental 25% <br />Life Cycle <br />Type (non -single family detached) 35% <br />Owner/Renter Mix 85/15% <br />Density <br />Single Family Detached 2.3/acre <br />Multiple Family 10-12/acre <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes <br />hereby adopts the above the goals outlined above wit ' understanding that the goals will be re- <br />examined and may be renegotiated based n the • - cern' al census and market conditions. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City C <br />ecember, 1998 <br />ATTEST: <br />LAAJLe1AA-L71 <br />1C�Iarilyn G.
