Council Member Neal <br />moved its adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-177 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR <br />VOICE AND DATA CABLING AND TELEPHONE SYSTEM, THE CIVIC <br />COMPLEI <br />WHEREAS; pursuant to an advertisement for bids for voice and data cabling, RF <br />distribution, and telephone systems for the Civic Complex; bids were received, opened, <br />and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the <br />advertisemept: <br />Name: Amount of Bid <br />Voice and Data Cabling/RF Distribution <br />CableOptics, Inc. <br />AmeriCom, Inc. <br />A.U.S. Communications, Inc. <br />Parallel Technologies, Inc. <br />Mitel Telephone System <br />$30,203.41 <br />$32,289.94 <br />$33,589.82 <br />$36,520.00 <br />Mitel Telecommunications Systems, Inc. $60,142.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that CableOptics Inc., Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, is the <br />lowest responsible bidder for voice and data cabling/RF distribution; and <br />Mitel Telecommunications Systems, Inc., of Eagan, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible <br />bidder for the telephone system; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contracts <br />with CableOptics, Inc. and Mitel Telecommunications Systems, Inc. in the name of the <br />City of Lino Lakes for the Civic Complex, according to the plans and specifications <br />therefore approved by the City Council and on file at Lino Lakes City Hall. <br />
