Annual Advisory Board Process —Administrator Karlson noted that the council
has received a list of applicants for open/expired advisory board positions. All the
applicants would be reappointments except for one position on the Planning and Zoning
Board. How does the council want to proceed with an appointment process; shall it be
an interview process? It was noted that there were as many openings as applicants.

The council concurred that they will hold a joint meeting with all the boards and that will
provide an opportunity for new council members to meet the board members.
Community Development Director Grochala suggested that would be a good opportunity
for him to present information on the proposed Mattamy development. The mayor
suggested that a meet and greet be held for the first half-hour of that meeting to allow for
some handshaking and introductions. The meeting will be scheduled for February 17.

2. Public Safety Vehicle Capital Replacement — Mayor Reinert indicated that with
a tight schedule for this evening's meeting, this item wouldn't be moving forward to the
council. He suggested a quick discussion and more to come at the next work session.

Public Safety Director Swenson announced that the amount of funds to be received from
the Centennial Fire District replacement fund will be $840,000, more than anticipated due
to accrued interest. He looks forward to the council's discussion on the matter of this
capital purchase plan and noted that it is his understanding that a work session direction
would be sufficient to move forward with equipment orders. The mayor suggested that
the timeline requires moving forward sometime in February. Director Swenson clarified
that it is his understanding that orders can be made through February but it is totally up to
the company. Mayor Reinert suggested that the council could take action at the February
8, 2016 meeting if that is necessary.

3. Review Regular Agenda of January 25, 2016 — The council reviewed the
agenda items and staff answered questions as needed.

L
