Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 67 <br />ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE FOR PROPOSED <br />ASSESSMENT OF DELINQUENT SEWER AND WATER UTILITY <br />ACCOUNTS <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has prepared a proposed assessment role of the delinquent sewer <br />and water utility bills as required in Chapter 400 of the City Code, and <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment has <br />been completed and filed in her office for public inspection, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. A hearing shall be held on Monday, October 25, 1999, in the City Hall, <br />600 Town Center Parkway, Lino Lakes, Minnesota, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon <br />as it can be reached on the agenda, to pass upon such proposed assessment <br />and at such time and place, all persons owning property affected by such <br />assessment will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br />assessment. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the <br />proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at <br />least two (2) weeks prior to the hearing, and she shall cause mailed notice <br />to be given to the owners of each parcel described in the assessment roll <br />not less than two (2) weeks prior to the hearings. <br />3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to <br />certification of the assessment to the County Auditor, pay the <br />whole of the assessment on such property to the City Clerk. The property <br />owner may also pay a portion of the assessment thereby reducing the <br />amount of the assessment to be certified to the County Auditor. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th day of September 1999. <br />
