Council Member Aka./ introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 131 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA LAWFUL <br />GAMBLING EXEMPT PERMIT LG 220 TO PERMIT BINGO FOR SAINT <br />JOESPH'S PARISH <br />WHEREAS, the Saint Joseph's Parish have made request to the City of Lino Lakes to <br />conduct bingo for the "Annual Easter Ham Bingo" event, and <br />WHEREAS, the bingo event is proposed to be held at 171 Elm Street, Lino Lakes, on <br />Sunday, March 19, 2000 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires City of Lino Lakes to <br />acknowledge and approve the application prior to the States consideration, and <br />WHEREAS, on behalf of the City, the Council acknowledges this application and three <br />options for the city: <br />1. Approve the application: By taking no action, the city allows the <br />Board to issue a permit after 30 days. <br />2. Waive the above-mentioned waiting period: The city allows the <br />Board to issue a permit before 30 days. <br />3. Deny the application by passing a rejection resolution with in 30 <br />days of the event. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby grants <br />authorization to approve Saint Joseph's Parish Lawful Gambling Application for Exempt <br />Permit to conduct bingo at the above-mentioned location and date. <br />NOW, THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes hereby does grant <br />permission to conduct bingo on Sunday, March 19, 2000, to Saint Joseph's Parish 171 <br />Elm Street, Lino Lakes, Minnesota. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 20th day of December 1999. <br />Ry-Chel Gaustad, CMC City Clerk Kimberly A.
