Council Member DaA--e- introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 -136 <br />WHEREAS; the City of Lino Lakes wishes to provide for the beautification of the City of <br />Lino Lakes by planting trees; and <br />WHEREAS; the City of Lino Lakes recognizes the needs and benefits of plantings <br />along Interstate 35W between residents of the Apollo Meadows Neighborhood; and <br />WHEREAS; the City of Lino Lakes understands the benefits of screening and aesthetic <br />improvement to the residents of Apollo Meadows and people traveling through Lino <br />Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS; the City of Lino Lakes appreciates and welcomes cooperative planting <br />projects between the City, residents and outside agencies; and <br />WHEREAS; the City of Lino Lakes will act as sponsoring unit for the project identified <br />as The Apollo Meadows Roadside Partnership Project on the state trunk highway I <br />35W to be conducted during the period of April 1999 through May 1999 and that Marty <br />Asleson is hereby authorized to apply to the Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />for funding of this project on behalf of The City of Lino Lakes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Approves the initiation of a cooperative agreement between the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) and The City of Lino Lakes under the <br />Mn/DOT Community Roadside Partners Program to plant a landscape buffer along <br />Interstate 35W and between the Residential houses of the Apollo Meadows <br />Neighborhood. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council th's 20h d-, ; f December 1999. <br />4 <br />Kimberly A.
