AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Powell, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: December 20, 1999 <br />TOPIC: Resolution Number 99-138, Order Feasibility Report, Apollo Drive <br />Improvements Phase 4 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5) <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City is currently master planning the Town Center located on the northeast <br />quadrant of the 35W and Trunk Highway 49 interchange. Private development interest <br />in this area is very active. <br />In order to ensure that adequate roadway access and utility service to this entire <br />quadrant is provided in a timely manner, the City needs to initiate a public improvement. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, Council is required to order the <br />preparation of a report studying the proposed improvements. The proposed <br />improvements will include roadways, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water service. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution No. 99-138 ordering a report on improvements for the Apollo Drive <br />Phase 4 project. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 2 - Adopt Resolution No. 99-138 ordering a report on improvements for the <br />Apollo Drive Phase 4 project. <br />
