2.02 Materials: <br />A. EPDM Roofing Membrane: <br />1. EPDM roofing membrane shall consist of 0.060 inch (60 mil) thick <br />calendared ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). <br />a. EPDM shall be non reinforced. <br />b. The membrane thickness tolerance shall be between 0.054" and <br />0.066" for 60 mil (measured in accordance with ASTM: D412). <br />c. Membrane shall be factory -fabricated in single sheet material <br />measuring not less than ten (10) feet wide by one hundred (100) <br />feet long or the longest sheet possible as determined by job <br />conditions. <br />d. Rolls of EPDM membrane with factory defects such as creases, <br />stretch marks, out of square, etc., will be rejected. <br />2. The membrane shall meet or exceed all requirements of ASTM:D4637, <br />Standard Specification for EPDM sheet used in single -ply roofing <br />membrane. <br />3. Approved Manufacturers: <br />a. Related materials for the above EPDM membrane roofing system shall <br />consist of the following or as recommended by the membrane <br />manufacturer: <br />a. Membrane flashing shall be 0.060 inch (60 mil) thick uncured <br />EPDM. <br />b. Bonding adhesive, splice cleaner, seam tape, "water cut-off <br />mastic", molded pipe flashing, pourable sealer, reinforced <br />securement system and all other related materials shall be <br />compatible with materials with which it is to be used and shall be <br />furnished by membrane manufacturer. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 General: <br />A. The latest manufacturer specifications and installation techniques are to be <br />followed. <br />3.02 Inspection: <br />A. Examine the areas and conditions under which work in this section will be <br />installed. Correct conditions detrimental to the proper and timely completion of <br />the work.
