CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1G <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson <br />MEETING DATE: January 25, 2016 <br />TOPIC: Termination of Probationary Employee <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City Council is being asked to approve the termination of Megan Brang, who was hired <br />November 2015 as a six-month probationary employee. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Megan Brang was hired last November to fill the Recreation Supervisor position formerly held <br />by Tanya Mozingo. After six weeks with the City, it became apparent that Ms. Brang was not <br />a good fit for the position. <br />Staff reviewed the list of candidates from the previous applicant pool and will be inviting back <br />four candidates for another interview. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the termination of Megan Brang. <br />
