2. Public meetings per city:
a. This means we would have two sets of meetings per city receiving new
noise walls: This really applies to cities will multiple walls being
constructed in different locations.
b. The meetings would likely occur at the respective city halls.
c. The first meeting would be in the April to June timeframe, be open to the
public, and explain the noise wall recommendations, process, and voting
procedure.
d. The second meeting would be in the July to August timeframe, target the
voters specifically, still be open to the public, and officially start the
voting process.
3. Public meetings per wall:
a. This process is the same as 2 above but would be neighborhood specific.
b. Here we would try to find a facility closer to the neighborhood than city
hall.
Staff is recommending option 2/3. Two meetings would be held either at City Hall or at a
neighborhood location such as St. Joseph's.
Requested Council Direction
1. Does the Council have a preferred public engagement process?
2. Would the Council want a presentation on the project from Mn/DOT staff?
Attachments
1. Project Overview Map
2.
