CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-109 <br />APPLYING FOR 2015 ADDITIONAL RECYCLING GRANT <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County receives funding from the Solid Waste Management Coordinating <br />Board and the State of Minnesota in the form of "SCORE" funds, which it distributes to <br />municipalities for recycling programs; and <br />WHEREAS, The County wishes to help municipalities meet recycling goals by distributing <br />leftover SCORE funds to cities in the form of an Additional Recycling Grant; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is in need of more funding to sustain its current recycling <br />program; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been high demand from residents for additional services, including <br />paper shredding, hard drive destruction events, and furniture and mattress recycling; and <br />WHEREAS, The City should continue promoting reuse by accepting Bridging, Inc. donations <br />from residents for free and transporting reusable furniture from Recycling Saturdays to <br />Bridging; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: <br />That Environmental Department Staff are hereby authorized to apply for a $10,000 Anoka <br />County Additional Grant on behalf of the City to fund recycling programs for the remainder of <br />this year. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 28th day of September, 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Kusterman and was duly seconded by Council Member Rafferty and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Kusterman, Rafferty, Roeser, Stoesz, Reiriert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />1 <br />Tu1i e Bartell, Cit Cler <br />
