CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 15-136 AUTHORIZING PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR TO IMPLEMENT TRANSITION PLAN FOR FIRE SERVICES WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Public Safety Fire Division will become the primary agency for fire calls for services within the City of Lino Lakes on January 1, 2016; and WHEREAS, Centennial Fire District Chief Harlan Lundstrom and Lino Lakes Public Safety Director John Swenson have met to discuss and plan for the transition of fire services in the City of Lino Lakes; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Centennial Fire District (CFD) member cities, which includes Lino Lakes, Centerville, and Circle Pines, that any decisions regarding this transition be left to the public safety professionals; and WHEREAS, Chief Lundstrom and Public Safety Director Swenson have created a timeline in the months of December 2015 and January 2016 for the transition of fire services and presented it to the CFD Operations Committee, which they approved on November 9, 2015. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes does hereby authorize the Public Safety Director to implement a transition plan for fire services in Lino Lakes. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23`d day of November 2015. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member Kustprman and was duly seconded by Council Member Roeser and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kusterman, Roeser, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reinert The following voted against same: none Jeff Reinert ATTEST:
