RESOLUTION NO. 16-14
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR LINO LAKES
FIRE STATION #1 ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the plans and specifications and authorized the
advertisement for bids for the Fire Station #1 roof replacement project at the January 25, 2016
City Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was conducted on February 29, 2016 with the following nine bids
submitted:

Flynn Midwest
Peterson Bros. Roofing
Palmer West Construction
Allweather Roof
Rainville Carlson
McPhillips Bros. Roofing
John A. Dalsin & Son, Inc.

WHEREAS, Roof Spec Inc. has reviewed the bid submittals and is recommending award of the
base bid package to Diverse Construction with a bid amount of $115,778.00; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project is from the Building Facilities Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
That the contract for the Lino Lakes Fire Station #1 Roof Replacement Project is awarded to
Diverse Construction with a bid amount of $115,778.00.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of March, 2016.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
MAHER and was duly seconded by Council Member Manthey and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Maher, Manthey, Kusterman, Rafferty, Reine

BACKGROUND:
The City Council approved the plans and specifications and authorized the advertisement for bids
for the Fire Station #1 roof replacement project at the January 25, 2016 City Council meeting.

Diverse Construction is the apparent low bidder with a bid amount of $115,778.00.
Based on the above, we would recommend award of the base bid package for the re -roofing at
the Lino Lakes Fire Station #1 for the contract amount of $115,778.00.
