RESOLUTION NO. 16-28
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF PERMANENT EASEMENTS,
WELL NO. 6 PUMP HOUSE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 16-15 adopted the 14t'' day of March, 2016 the City
Council authorized staff to negotiate acquisition of a drainage and utility easement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes, a Minnesota municipal corporation, acting by and
through the City Council, is authorized by law to acquire real estate which is needed for public
use or purpose; and
WHEREAS, the WSB and Associates, on behalf of the City have reached a settlement on the
purchase price of the easement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA:
That the acquisition of a permanent drainage and utility easement, as described in Exhibit
A, is hereby approved in the amount of $18,000.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 25th day of April, 2016.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Kusterman and was duly seconded by Council Member Maher and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Kusterman, Maher, Manthey, Rafferty, Reinekt
The following voted against same:
none

Permanent Easement, Well No. 6 Pump House Improvements

INTRODUCTION
Staff is requesting council action approving acquisition of an easement for drainage and utility
purposes to service the Well No. 6 Pump House.
BACKGROUND
The City Council approved Resolution No. 16-15 on March 14, 2016 authorizing acquisition of
a permanent easement for drainage and utility purposes for the Well No. 6 project. The
purpose of the easement is to provide a corridor for three-phase electrical service from Birch
Street to the pump house and a future trunk water main. The original offer was $11,800. WSB
and Associates working with staff have reached a final agreement for acquisition in the amount
of $18,000.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 16-28.
