RESOLUTION NO. 16-40
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION SERVICES CONTRACT
2016 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City is maintaining streets as part of their annual pavement management plan;
and
WHEREAS, on May 23, 2016, the City awarded the above-mentioned project to Park
Construction Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the amount of $337,748.60; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interests of the city to proceed
with the construction oversight and administration,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes:
1. WSB and Associates, Inc., is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The
engineer shall provide construction services for the making of such improvement.
2. City staff is authorized to execute a professional services agreement with WSB and
Associate, Inc., in the not to exceed amount of $29,830.00.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23th day of May, 2016.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Kusterman and was duly seconded by Council Member Manthey and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Kusterman, Manthey, Maher, Reinert
The following voted against same:
none (Abstain - Rafferty)

Contract with WSB & Associates, 2016 Road Maintenance
Project

INTRODUCTION
Staff is requesting council authorization to complete the construction services for the 2016
Road Maintenance Project.
BACKGROUND
On April 11, 2016, the City Council authorized bidding of the 2016 Road Maintenance Project.
The project includes Holly Drive, Holly Court, and Old Birch Street (north/south section) as a full
depth reclamation and/or overlay.
WSB and Associates has submitted a proposal to complete the construction services for the
2016 Road Maintenance Project in the amount of $29,830.00. The substantial completion date
for this project is August 19, 2016 and the final completion date including restoration is September
30, 2016.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 16-40 authorizing the construction services
contract.
