INTRODUCTION
Staff is requesting council action approving acquisition of an easement for drainage, utility and
roadway purposes for construction of the Birch Street Cul De Sac.
BACKGROUND
The City Council approved the Development Agreement for Saddle Club 2nd Addition
(Resolution No. 16-13) on April 11, 2016 which included provisions for the construction of a
cul de sac at the end of Old Birch Street. As part of the developer's improvements the existing
access to Birch Street will be closed and a cul de sac constructed. Construction of the cul de
sac did require acquisition of additional right-of-way. WSB and Associates, working on behalf
of the City, have reached a final agreement for easement acquisition in the amount of $3,000.
The developer is responsible for City costs associated with the construction of the cul de sac.
