RESOLUTION NO. 16-169
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING 2017
COMPENSATION PLAN FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, Section 207.04 of the Code of Ordinances requires the City Administrator to
establish and maintain a compensation plan for all positions in the City, which is to be reviewed
and approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, this plan is in compliance with Minnesota Statute 471, which is referred to as the
Pay Equity Law; and
WHEREAS, the compensation plan for non-union employees includes a two and a half percent
(2.5%) wage increase, effective January 1, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that
the following salary schedule by adopted.

Kustermanand was duly seconded by Council Member Manthey and upon vote being

INTRODUCTION
The City Council is being asked to consider a resolution establishing the 2017 compensation
plan for non-union employees.
BACKGROUND
The non-union compensation plan includes the following positions: city administrator,
department directors, deputy public safety directors, public safety captain, HR manager, and city
clerk. The 2017 plan embodies a salary adjustment of 2.5 percent.
The 2017 budget includes a 2.5 percent wage increase for all City personnel.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Resolution No. 16-169, establishing the 2017 compensation plan for non-union
employees, effective January 1, 2017.
