RESOLUTION NO. 16-174
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY STUDY
FOR WATER STORAGE
WHEREAS, the City's water system is in need of additional water storage to maintain American
Water Works Association standards for system pressure and supply, and
WHEREAS, the Water Storage Feasibility Study will evaluate multiple sites throughout the
City for elevation, ownership, and site access. The feasibility report will make a
recommendation for the location and type of storage that will provide system improvements in
the most cost-effective manner; and
WHEREAS, WSB and Associates, the City Engineer, has submitted a proposal to prepare the
Feasibility Study.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
1. The Water Storage Feasibility Study is hereby ordered to determine if the
proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and as to
whether it should best be made as proposed, and at the estimated cost of the
improvement.
2. WSB and Associates are directed to prepare the Feasibility Study for Water
Storage in an amount not exceed $17,100.00.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 12th day of December, 2016.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member Kust-Prman and upon
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Manthey, Kusterman, Maher, Reinert
The following voted against same:
