This request is to specifically provide the Commission with this resource to act as a consultant for the two Ordinances (03-14 and 04-14) proposed by the City Council with a specified time frame. We fully understand and appreciate that our current 2014 budget of $1,500 is set aside for the Charter Commission specifically to frame and amend. The attached estimate of work clearly outlines that Attorney Marty will be researching and reviewing the ordinances, and will be in attendance for no more than two hours at our regularly scheduled meeting on April 10. There is also a specification that the actual invoice cannot exceed this estimate. We have negotiated a discounted rate with Attorney Marty as we are acutely aware of the fiscal responsibility we have as tax payers in our community. Due to the timing of our meeting, please let me know how the Charter Commission can proceed in regard to this matter. Holly Drive from 12th to Holly Ct. was the last full reconstruct of a City State Aid Street in 2004. Looking back at the overlay projects it looks like Andall, a portion of Clearwater Creek Dr. , Lois Lane and Woodduck Trail have received an overlay since 2003. Other streets likely received sealcoats but I didn't have a chance to look that up. (clsutherland@gmail.com) draft minutes I looked over the draft minutes and 1,11 have to request a correction when the Commission considers them. The following sentence (lines 168-170) isn't accurate.... The City Clerk explained the process and provided an example that took place the previous year, noting that unanimous vote of all Charter Commission members and City Councilmembers would be necessary to pass an amendment by ordinance. A unanimous vote of the Commission is not required. I just don't want there to be any confusion about process on charter amendments. Also, it's not a rush but should I give Caroline a call about the resolution to extend the review period and getting a final copy of the minutes that were approved?
