Presentation of 2011 Audit Report—Finance Director Rolek introduced 16 representatives of the firm CliftonLarsonAllen who had performed the audit services. 17 Representatives Rachel Flanders and Brady Hoffman presented a summary of the written 18 audit report(on file). They reviewed information on Required Communications, Audit 19 Results, Financial Results and Other including such areas of GASB No. 61. It was noted 20 that for the eleventh consecutive year, the city will be receiving the GFOA Certificate of 21 Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. 22 23 The council will consider acceptance of the audit report at the council meeting. 24 25 2. Revised Personnel Policy—It was noted that the policy will be pulled from the 26 regular council agenda for further discussion at the next regular work session. 27 28 3. Review Regular Council Agenda of May 29,2012—Regarding Item 4A,the council 29 received an explanation from Police Chief Swenson and City Attorney(criminal) Robb 30 Olson regarding the Driving Diversion Program (DDP). The program is authorized 31 through the state legislature to divert individuals who have been cited for driving after 32 revocation or suspension by providing a means by which they can reinstate driving 33 privileges while paying outstanding fines. The program is offered at no cost to the city 34 and actually would provide a cost back to the city in the form of an administrative charge. 35 Lino Lakes would be the first city in Anoka County to offer the program but other cities 36 are in the process of engaging also. 37 38 Mayor Reinert confirmed that the program does not put drivers with alcohol related 39 offenses back onto the road. 40 41 No council action will be required to institute the program; the council concurred with 42 staff's intent to proceed. 43 44 The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. 45 1 CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION May 29, 2012 APPROVED 46 These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the regular Council meeting held on 47 June 11, 2012. 48 49 Air 50 52 i e Bartell, Cit, Clerk Jeff ei e , Mayor 53 2
