A special meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board
was called to order on August 8, 1973 at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman
McLean. Members present; Karth, Kelling, Shearen. Absent;
Farrand, Nadeau, Hill. Mr. Marier was also present. Mr.
Lee Starr Village Planner, present.
A sign application for VFW Post 6583 was presented by the Post
Commander. Motion by Karth, Seconded by Shearen, to recommend
to the Council approval of application, with amendments so as
to conform with the village code. Motion carried.
Mr. Lee Starr, Village Planner, presented his first draft of a
comprehensive land use plan for the Village. The objective of
the Oomp rehens i ve Plan is to leave the Village zoned as i s . That
is agricultural and commercial. The Comprehensive Plan will be
used as a guide line for future development. Mr. Starr covered
each area of the Village with the P&Z. A few revisions were
agreed on and Mr. Starr will incorporate these in his next
presentation. Some discussion on Open Space was held, and it
was decided not to show additional areas, other than the County
Plan, on the Comprehensive map.
The next special P&Z meeting with the Village Planner was
scheduled for Sept. 5, 1973. Clerk is requested to send not-
ification of meeting to P&X members and Mr. Starr.
Motion to adjourn by Mr. Kelling, seconded by Mr. Karth at
10:30 P.M.
