SPECIAL COUNCIL MINUTES June 7,2010 <br /> APPROVED <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> 2 MINUTES <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 DATE : June 7,2010 <br /> 6 TIME STARTED : 5:34 p.m. <br /> 7 TIME ENDED : 5:40 p.m. <br /> 8 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Gallup, O'Donnell, Rafferty, <br /> 9 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert <br /> 10 MEMBERS ABSENT : none <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Staff members present: Director of Administration Dan Tesch; City Attorney Joseph Langel; <br /> 13 Community Development Director Michael Grochala; City Engineer Jim Studenski; Chief of Police <br /> 14 Dave Pecchia; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br /> 15 <br /> 16 PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 17 <br /> 18 No one was present to address the council regarding a matter not on the agenda. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 SETTING THE AGENDA <br /> 21 <br /> 22 The agenda was approved as presented. <br /> 23 <br /> �-- 24 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Item IA. Council Member <br /> 27 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 ITEM ACTION <br /> 30 <br /> 31 1A) Application of Living Waters Luther Church Approved <br /> 32 to conduct an excluded bingo event on June 19,2010 <br /> 33 <br /> 34 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br /> 35 <br /> 36 2A) Pine Street Paving Improvements,Resolution No. 10-47 Accepting Bids and Awarding a <br /> 37 Construction Contract—City Engineer Studenski noted that that bids were opened and good prices <br /> 38 offered on the project. The city did receive a letter from one resident who does not oppose the project <br /> 39 but doesn't agree with how assessments are set. Staff does not agree with any change to the <br /> 40 assessment method at this time. The public hearing on the project will be held on June 28 at the city <br /> 41 council meeting. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Mr. Studenski said he is recommending that the council accept the bids and award the construction <br /> 44 contract as presented in the resolution. <br /> 45 <br /> 1 <br />
