HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-008 Council ResolutionCITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA RESOLUTION NO. 18-08 APPROVING A PEDDLER LICENSE FOR EDWARD JONES FINANCIAL WHEREAS, Derek Fisher and Daniel Babbitt, Financial Advisors for Edward Jones Financial have submitted a peddlers license application to the city clerk's office; and WHEREAS, Derek Fisher and Daniel Babbitt have complied with all of the provisions of Chapter 613 of the Lino Lakes City Code for obtaining the necessary license; and WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has conducted background checks on the company representatives that will be working in Lino Lakes, Mr. Derek Fisher and Mr. Daniel Babbitt; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby approves the request of Edward Jones Financial to sell services door to door for a period of six -months beginning February 1, 2018 and ending August 1, 2018. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd of January, 2018. The company representatives who would be working in Lino Lakes are Mr. Derek Fisher and Mr. Daniel Babbitt. They plan to travel through the Lino Lakes' neighborhoods going door to door offering financial services to interested potential clients. The City has received all the necessary forms required to issue this company representatives a license and indicate no reason to deny their application. The application and all other required information is on file in the Deputy City Clerk's office for review. RECOMMENDATION Approve Resolution No. 18-08, Approving the issuance of a Peddler License for a six month period starting February 1, 2018 through August 1, 2018.
