RESOLUTION NO. 18-31
RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AGAINST PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR
THE LAMOTTE AREA WATERMAIN PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City is reconstructing the roadways and repairing the sanitary sewer within the
LaMotte area in 2018. As part of the project extending municipal water was considered. A public
hearing on the preliminary assessment to the benefitting property owners was held on January 22,
2018; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter requires a period of 60 -days to elapse after the public hearing upon
which certified petitions against, and in favor of may be submitted; and
WHEREAS, the City received an adequate certified petition, within the prescribed 60 -day period,
against a public improvement with respect to the municipal water service extension.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes,
Minnesota received a certified petition against the LaMotte Area Watermain Project. The City
does not plan to construct the proposed Watermain Project or assessing for the improvements.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th day of March, 2018.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Manthey, Stoesz, Rafferty, Maher, Reinert
