25 Beyond the Yellow Ribbon representative Dorothy Rademacher updated the council on the group's
26 efforts and plans for future work. Mayor Reinert offered the council's gratitude for their efforts and
27 acknowledged the momentum that the group is experiencing.

65 reported that the council is being asked to approve the appointment of Randy Brandt to a vacant
66 position. He announced the salary recommendation and effective hire date.

69 Council Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion adopted on a voice vote.

81 6A) Public Hearing, Consider Resolution No. 17423, Adopting Special Assessments, Weed
82 Abatement Charges — Community Development Director Grochala reviewed the written staff report.
83 The recommendation to assess relates to charges for correction of nuisance weed situations from the
84 past year. He discussed with the council the timeframe allowed for correction before the city
85 becomes involved, as well as the general cost per hour for services provided.
