Comments and Questions - John Sullivan, Environmental Board, addressed the City Council Members and asked if it bothers them that all lakes in Lino Lakes are listed as "impaired" and if there is a plan to do anything about it. Mayor Reinert addressed the question by stating that many of the lakes are in agricultural areas and are shallow with soft bottoms. He gives an example of what residents of Reshanau Lake did to improve their lake, adding croppies to eat carp eggs and working with government. Mayor states that if we can make plan we could ask the government for help and by adding natural elements to the lake (like they did with croppies) it could keep it low cost and have large impact. He asks John Sullivan and Steven Heiskary to look into this and put together a plan. Mayor Reinert adjourns meeting at 8:06pm. xe&Z sdkgat Kellie Schmidt, Administrative Assistant • Replaced standard -definition system • Four remote -controlled HD video cameras • New podium system with laptop computer • Touchscreen-controlled video switching system with integrated graphics • Two 65-1nch video displays for audience City Website Redesign • Responsive Website Design — GovOffice • Easier navigation — max. space on homepage • Image Slider — community photos can be put u p and taken down by staff • Mobile friendly (Smartphones and tablets) • Local weather integration through National Weather Service • Advanced notifications banner • www.vi.deforest.wi.us 0 R Nx ILYA • Live Streaming of Lino Lakes Cable TV Channel • Municipal Producer — Original Programming ➢ Fire Recruitment Video ➢ Blue Heron Days Parade ➢ Lino Lakes Corrections Facility Video ➢ Public Safety Open House • H VAC Syste m • Public Safety Department • Tables & Chairs in Community Room • Dais Chairs in Council Chambers WBL Restoration Assn. vs. DNR • Plaintiff claimed groundwater pumping is adversely affecting White Bear Lake elevation • Plaintiff seeking injunction relief • 10/4/17 - District court ruled against DNR and mandated reductions in groundwater pumping • DNR filed a post -trail motion to stay enforcement pending appeal, which was denied 3/29/18 • 5/11/18 - DNR filed an appeal with the Court of Appeals dA RTM lion of the Lino Lakes Public Safety Dept aborate with the community to provide:' zealthy and safe community; ocus on prevention; °ommitment to life safety; gressive pursuit of criminals; ►pectful communication; couragement for volunteerism.
