HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-137 Council ResolutionCITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 18-137 APPROVING A SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 15-18 FOR PUBLICATION WHEREAS, the. City Council approved Ordinance No. 15-18, vacating a drainage & utility easement on 6499 Lakota Trail; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved the first reading on October 8, 2018, and the second reading and final passage on October 22, 2018; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15-18 is lengthy and MN statute 412.191 allows the city to publish a summary of an ordinance, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the summary clearly informs the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance, and WHEREAS, the publication in the official newspaper will include a notice that a full printed copy of the ordinance is available at City Hall. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the City Council approves the summary in Attachment A for publication according to state law and the City Charter. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22"d day of October, 2018. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Manthey, Stoesz, Rafferty, Maher, Reinert The following voted against same: none ATTEST: u i nne Bartell, C' y Cler Jeff Rein , Mayor ATTACHMENT A CITY OF LINO LAKES SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 15-18 AN ORDINANCE VACATING DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT (6499 Lakota Trail) Section 1: Findings The City Council of Lino Lakes has determined to vacate a portion of the drainage and utility easement dedicated on Lot 1, Block 16, Millers Crossroads as shown in Exhibit A; and A public hearing was held on October 8, 2018 before the City Council in the City Hall Council Chambers after due published and posted notice had been given and a reasonable attempts were made to give personal notice to all affected property owners, and all persons interested were given an opportunity to be heard; and Section 3: Effect This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to the Lino Lakes City Charter and upon recording of the Drainage and Utility Easement Vacation. Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council on October 22, 2018. This is a summary of the adopted ordinance. A full printed copy of the ordinance is available at City Hall.
