RESOLUTION NO. 18-149
APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
ANOKA COUNTY REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
WHEREAS, the County of Anoka, Connexus Energy, and; MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce,
identified a need to promote economic development in Anoka County; and
WHEREAS, a research study was completed by Ady Advantage, in December 2017 ("the Study") for
a market research analysis and evaluation of business opportunities, targets, and strategies for
economic development within Anoka County; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the Study, County, Connexus Energy and MetroNorth Chamber and the
Municipalities, the "Hosting Agencies" have planned to gather with one another as well as other
community partners to develop a vision, create an action plan, and set realistic goals to implement
shared objectives for economic development and business recruitment within Anoka County; and
WHEREAS, the Hosting Agencies wish to enter into this MOU to establish organizational structures
and to develop specific goals and objectives for the collaboration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO
LAKES, MINNESOTA, that the Memorandum of Understanding is hereby approved and the Mayor is
authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of October, 2018.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Manthey, Stoesz, Rafferty, Maher
