HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-001A Council OrdinancesORDINANCE NO. 1 A VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1, OF THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA PASSED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL ON THE 16th DAY OF JUNE, 1955, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING THE SALE OF NON -INTOXICATING MALT LIQUORS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF". The Council of the Village of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, ordains: I. Ordinance No. 1 entitled "AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING THE SALE OF NON -INTOXICATING MALT LIQUORS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF", Passed by the Village Council on the 16th day of June, 1955, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following: SECTION 11 A. Special Licenses. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, upon proper written application, the Village Council may issue special license to any non.'profit organization existing for social or business progress or intellectual improvement, or to one responsible member thereof, acting in behalf of such organization, for either the "on -sale" or `off -sale", or both, of non -intoxicating malt liquors for special events, or occasions, on property to be designated therein, such organization to furnish evidence to the council of public liability insurance of a minimum of $25,000.00 and $50,000.00 and $5,000.00 property damage to cover such operation, such insurance to be in a company acceptable to the council, or such applicant to provide suitable proof of financial responsibility to be approved by the Council. The annual license fee for such special license shall be $1.00 for each such "on -sale" and "off -sale" license, shall be issued for one specific place of sale which may include any ball park or other place of public gathering, and not transferrable to another place or organization, and such license shall contain any conditions or restrictions deemed necessary by the Council, including the specific date or dates upon which sales may be held. All of the other provisions in this ordinance which do not conflict with the foregoing in this section, shall apply to such sale. II. Save for the foregoing amendment said Ordinance No. 1 shall stand and be effective as originally adopted. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law. Passed by the Village Council this 26th day of July, 1965. ATTEST: Alden E.
