HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-031C Council OrdinancesORDINANCE NO. 31C VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION 2 OF SECTION 2, OF ORDINANCE NO. 31, PASSED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA ON THE 25TH DAY OF MARCH, 1963, AND AMENDING SECTION 1, OF ORDINANCE NO. 31-A, PASSED BY SAID VILLAGE COUNCIL ON THE 12TH DAY OF JUNE, 1967. The Village Council of the Village of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, ordains: I. SUBDIVISION 2 of SECTION 2, of Ordinance No. 31, of the Village of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, passed by the Village Council on March 25, 1963, is hereby amended by repealing and striking the following terminology therein: "Not more than three "on sale" licenses shall be granted at any one time." and by replacing said repealed and striken terminology with the following: "The number of "on sale" licenses granted by the Village Council shall not exceed the number authorized to be issued by the Statutes of the State of Minnesota, or under the authority of the Liquor Control Commissioner of the State of Minnesota." II. Save as above amended, said Ordinance No. 31 shall stand as initially adopted and as previously amended. SECTION 1, of Ordinance No. 31-A, of the Village of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, passed by the Village Council on June 12, 1967, is hereby amended by repealing and striking the following terminology therein: "The first one-half thereof shall be paid before June 30 of each such year," and by replacing said repealed and striken terminology with the following: "The first one-half thereof shall accompany the license application and shall be presented to the Village Clerk -Treasurer prior to the second regular Village Council Meeting in May of each such year, to allow compliance with the State of Minnesota Liquor Commissioner's regulations," IV. Save as above amended, said Ordinance No. 31-A shall stand as initi'611y adopted. V. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law. Duane A. Rasmussen, being duly sworn, on oath says: That he is, and during all the times herein stated has been, the publisher of the newspaper known as the Forest lake Times, and has full knowledge of the facts hereinafter stated; that for two years prior to the publication therein of the . Forest.Lake .Times. hereinafter described, said newspaper was printed and published in the Village of Forest Lake in the County of Washington, State of Minnesota, on Thursday of each week; that during all said time said newspaper has been printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches; has been distributed at least once each week; has had at least 50 percent of its news columns devoted to news of local interest to the community which it purports to serve; has been circulated in and near the municipality which it purports to serve, and has had at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, and has had an average of at least 75 percent of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears, and has had entry as second-class matter in the Forest Lake post office; has its known office of issue established in the Village of Forest Lake and in the County of Washington; has filed a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society; has filed with the secretary of state prior to January 1 of each year an affidavit signed by the publisher or managing officer and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper; and has complied with all of the foregoing conditions for at least+two years last past; That the I Ltbl'LC.
