ORDINANCE NO. 84
CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING A MORATORIUM ON ALL PLATTING OUTSIDE THE
DESIGNATED SEWER AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF LINO LAKES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County,
State of Minnesota, has conducted studies and has held a scheduled
hearing for the purpose of considering amendments of its Comprehensive
Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has received the Lino Lakes Com-
prehensive Plan and is in the process of reviewing such for compliance
with the Metropolitan Development Guide, and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby determines that further plats
within the City of Lino Lakes without the benefit of said approved
Comprehensive Plan is deemed to be detrimental to the lives and pro-
perty of the owners thereof and others, and
WHEREAS, Platting outside the designated sewer area would be detri-
mental in some areas to the extension of essential services, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary that a moratorium be
declared on development on said land for the immediate preservation
of health and safety to allow consistency with the proposed plan.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka
County, Minnesota, ordains:
A moratorium is hereby declared on all plats outside the designated
sewer districts within the City of Lino Lakes.
This moratorium shall remain in effect until the Comprehensive Plan
Amendment is approved by the Metropolitan Council and the passage of
90 days thereafter, or one year from the date hereto, whichever is
less.
This ordinance shall become effective and in full force after its
publication according to law.
Passed by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th Day of
August, 1981.
