RESOLUTION NO. 19-45
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT FOR WOODS EDGE PARK
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 19-15 (Ordering the Project, Approving
Plans and Specifications, and Authorizing Advertisement of Bids for the Woods Edge Park
Project) on January 28, 2019; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on February 28, 2019. A total of seven bids were
received as follows; and

Pember Companies, Inc.
$142,316.10
Odesa II
$146,380.00
GL Contracting
$148,851.90
Blackstone Contractors
$167,768.00
Northland Excavating
$184,905.75
Urban Companies
$213,260.00
WHEREAS, the bid tabulation indicates the low bidder as Dunaway Construction,
Columbus, MN, in the amount of $119,315.06 for the base bid plus all alternates; and
WHEREAS, funding is from the Dedicated Parks Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City Council hereby authorizes staff to enter into
a contract with Dunaway Construction for the Woods Edge Park Project.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8th day of April, 2019.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member Maher and upon vote
being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

BACKGROUND
The City Council approved Resolution 19-15 (Ordering the Project, Approving Plans and
Specifications, and Authorizing Advertisement of Bids for the Woods Edge Park Project) on
January 28, 2019.
Bids were received and opened on Thursday, February 28, 2019. A total of seven bids were
received as follows:

Dear Mayor and Council Members:
Bids were received for the above -referenced project on Thursday, February 28, 2019, and were
opened and read aloud. A total of seven bids were received. The bids were checked for
mathematical accuracy and tabulated and any errors made on the Proposal Form have been
corrected and highlighted with orange. The Engineer's Estimate was $180,656.75 for the base
bid plus all alternates. The bid tabulation indicates the low bidder as Dunaway Construction,
Columbus, MN; in the amount of $119,315.06 for base bid plus all alternates.
We recommend that the City consider these bids and award a contract to Dunaway Construction,
° based on the results of the bids received.
