20 CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
21 Chair Sutherland convened the meeting of the Lino Lakes Charter Commission at 6:00 pm on
22 March 24, 2014.

24 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
25 Chair Sutherland led the Pledge of Allegiance.

27 OPEN MIC/PUBLIC COMMENT
28 The Chair recognized those in the audience, thanked them for attending and explained due to the
29 nature of the special meeting they would be moving directly into the presentation by city staff.

31 PRESENTATION BY CITY STAFF ON CITY COUNCIL PROPOSED CHARTER
32 AMENDMENTS (CHAPTER 8)
33 MOTION by Commissioner Lyden, seconded by Commissioner Turcotte, put together a request
34 to the Council for $4,000 to continue the potential review and changes to one of the two
35 proposed amendments.

37 Motion carried unanimously. Chair Sutherland abstained.

39 MOTION by Commissioner Storberg to vote on Option One proposed amendment by Council,
40 lack of a second, motion dies.

42 MOTION by Commissioner Penn, seconded by Commissioner Bretoi, postpone the agenda item
43 around the discussion of a quote "vision for success" with the Council to July 10`h and that
44 agenda item would not exceed one hour."

46 Motion carried unanimously. Chair Sutherland abstained.
