PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT, AMENDING SECTION 2.03. COUNCIL
COMPOSITION AND ELECTION, RELATING TO CITY
MOTION by Commissioner Turcotte, seconded by Commissioner Lyden, to table the action
regarding adoption of proposed ward to the next meeting.
Discussion:
Commissioner Johnson suggested a possible hybrid system with possible members at large, etc.
Commission Penn suggested a situation where the ward rep could represent a ward yet have
voters outside the said ward to be able to vote for them.
Discussion of the proposal of this amendment to get it on the ballot
MOTION by Penn, Turcotte seconded, that we forward the proposal to the Charter attorney to
have the recommendations back by Monday June 23rd.
MOTION by Dahl, Turcotte seconded, to call special meeting on June 25th at 6:30pm for the
purpose of voting on Ward amendment worded by Charter attorney.

MOTION passed unanimously.

MOTION by Commissioner Johnson seconded by Commissioner Poehling to adjourn at
8:45 p.m.
Motion carried unanimously.
