Chair Sutherland called the meeting of the Lino Lakes Charter Commission to order at 6:30 p.m.
The Chair called to order the continuance of discussion of the City Council proposed Charter
Amendment, Chapter 8 and the response by Karen Marty. In regards to the budget request the
Council asked for additional information. The Chair sent clarification to them and we will wait
and see their response this coming Monday. They were notified that the Charter Commission was
meeting tonight. We will probably need an additional three hours. Anything outside will submit
a separate invoice.
OLD BUSINESS
Discussion with Ms Marty’s edits to the proposals she put together.
The MOTION by Commissioner Bretoi.
Commissioner Bretoi friendly amendment seconded by Commissioner Penn.
Commissioner Penn withdrawers her second.
The commission voted on accepting the withdrawal of Commissioner Penn’s second.
MOTION passes with Chair Sutherland abstaining. The Motion fails.
MOTION by Commissioner Penn: I move we instruct Attorney Ms Marty to alter the proposed
ordinance in accordance with instructions that were given to her tonight.
Motion passes. Chair abstained.

MOTION by Commissioner Turcotte, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to adjourn the 43
meeting at 8:30 p.m. 44
