RESOLUTION NO. 19-59
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES, AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT, PHEASANT HILLS CIRCLE PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for quotes for the construction of the Pheasant Hills Circle
Project, quotes were received:

Forest Lake Contracting, Inc.
$172,042.78
Arnt Construction Co., Inc.
$197,023.51
WHEREAS, it appears that T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. of North St. Paul, Minnesota is the lowest
responsible bidder; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that the
Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract T.A. Schifsky & Sons,
Inc. for the construction of the Pheasant Hills Circle Project in the amount of $158,878.30.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th day of May, 2019.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member Maher and upon
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Rafferty ,Maher, Manthey, Stoesz, Reinert

INTRODUCTION
Staff is requesting authorization to accept quotes and award the construction contract for the
Pheasant Hills Circle Project.
BACKGROUND
The Pheasant Hills Circle Project includes replacing the watermain and repairing the roadway.
The quotes for the project:

Forest Lake Contracting, Inc.

Arnt Construction Co., Inc.
$197,023.51
The low bid was submitted by T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. of North St. Paul, Minnesota, in the
amount of $158,878.30. Funding is from the Water Operating Fund. The completion date for this
project is June 30, 2019.
RECOMIVIENDATION
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 19-59 accepting quotes and awarding a
construction contract for the Pheasant Hills Circle Project, in the amount of $158,878.30 to T.A.
Schifsky & Sons, Inc.
