15 1. Review Regular City Council Agenda of August 26, 2019
16 Item 6A — 2019 Water Tower No. 3 Project, Accept Bids and Award Construction
17 Contract —City Engineer Hankee reviewed elements of the project, alternates for the
18 project, and the bid process/low bidder. She noted that Greg Johnson, WSB &
19 Associates, was present to answer specific questions. Completion is proposed for
20 August 2021.
21 Item 6B —East Cedar Street & 24th AvenuelElmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project,
22 Reject bids and Authorize rebid —City Engineer Hankee explained that, in working with
23 the City of Hugo, the bid process brought in bids that were high. Staff is recommending
24 that the City concur with the city of Hugo in rejecting bids and setting up a rebid process
25 for next year. Staff anticipates savings related to doing so. Mayor Reinert asked if the
26 residents have been informed and Ms. Hankee explained, that with council approval, staff
27 intends to put out a mailing tomorrow.
28 Item 6C -Pavement Management Rating, Update —Community Development Director
29 Grochala said this is an annual process of rating streets. He added that staff is preparing
30 a map that will indicate work done since 2005. Council Member Stoesz asked to be
31 notified when the survey is to be done so he can pass that onto citizens.
