CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 20-32
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN INTERIM BUILDING OFFICIAL AND
APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR BUILDING
OFFICIAL SERVICES
Whereas, there is currently a vacancy in the City's building official position; and,
Whereas, pursuant to City Code, the City must have an appointed building official; and,
Whereas, existing staff are not certified, therefore cannot be appointed; and,
Whereas, staff will need to enter into a service agreement for building official services; and,
Whereas, staff recommends entering into a service agreement with MNSpect for building
official services in the interim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Lino Lakes
that the service contract with MNSpect for professional services is hereby approved.
FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Lino Lakes that
MNSpect is hereby appointed as the interim building official for the City until the building
official vacancy is filled.

Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of March 2020.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
Lyden and was duly seconded by Councilmember Ruhland and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Lyden, Ruhland, Cavegn, Rafferty
The following voted against same: Stoesz
