BACKGROUND Staff is recommending the Computer Purchase Plan be removed from the Personnel Policy. The intent behind the policy was to help employees get access to and become familiar with computers. Knowing it would benefit the City by increasing an employee's familiarity and comfort level with computer use. Throughout the years it has evolved to allow for more modern purchases such as tablets and has strayed from its original purpose due to the fact that technology is more common. Technology, access, and use has come a long way, and this provision no longer provides a benefit to the City. Staff is recommending the removal of the Computer Purchase Plan from the Personnel Policy. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 20-87 ATTACHMENTS Resolution No. 20-87 •
