HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-105 Council Resolution• • CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 20-105 A RESOLUTION APPROVING ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AGREEMENT WHEREAS, With the City Council approval of Resolution No. 20-103 and Resolution No. 104, electrical installation work is necessary to complete the 2020 Touchless Entry Upgrades; and WHEREAS, Two bids were received as follows: Civic Complex Aid Electric $26,650.00 Phasor Electric $28,900.00 PublicWorks/Senior Center $7.340.00* $8.400.00 WHEREAS, Staff is recommending reducing the scope of work at the Public Works/Senior Center. This will reduce the not -to -exceed cost to $5,000.00; and WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed this project and determined that it meets the elig, bility requirements (necessary expenditures due to COVID-19, not accounted for in the most recently adopted budget, expenditures will be incurred during the covered period of March 1 to November 15, 2020). NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes Hereby authorizes the Public Services Director to enter into an agreement with Aid Electric for electrical work necessary for the 2020 Touchless Entry Upgrades. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14th day of September, 2020. BACKGROUND With this evening's approval of Resolution No. 20-103 and Resolution No. 20-104, the purpose of this agenda item is to approve the electrical work associated with the previous two agenda items Two bids were received as follows: Civic Complex Aid Electric $26,650.00 Phasor Electric $28,900.00 PublicWorks/Senior Center $7,340.00* $8,400.00 *Staff is recommending reducing the scope of work at the Public Works/Senior Center. This will reduce the not -to -exceed cost to $5,000_ Staff has worked with Aid Electric on numerous projects and recommends moving forward with approving an electrical services agreement with the approval of Resolution No. 20-105. Staff has determined that this project meets the eligibility requirements (necessary expenditures due to COVID-19, not accounted for in the most recently adopted budget, expenditures will be incurred during the covered period of March 1 to November 15, 2020) for 100% CARES Act funding reimbursement.
