Direct award of these contracts complies with the City's procurement policies; and WHEREAS, Staff is recommending awarding of the following contracts: General Construction Casework and Countertops Storefronts, Windows, and Glazing Flooring Fire Protection Heat, Piping, and HVAC Electrical, Communications, and Fire Alarm Interior Furnishings (City direct order) George F. Cook Construction Oakcraft Inc. Capital City Glass Hauglies, Inc. Olsen Fire Protection RJ Mechanical, Inc. Vinco, Inc. Innovative Office Solutions $141,895.00 $45,800.00 $10,990.00 $23,392.86 $1,885.00 $25,000.00 $35,940.00 $92,426.89 WHEREAS, staff has determined that this project meets the eligibility requirements (necessary expenditures due to COVID-19, not accounted for in the most recently adopted budget, expenditures will be incurred during the covered period of March 1 to November 15, 2020) for 100% CARES Act funding reimbursement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota: 1. The City Council approves the award of contracts to the above referenced contractors. 2. The City Council hereby directs the Public Services Director to execute all necessary contracts for the 2020 City Hall Renovation Project on behalf of the City. CNH Architects finalized the plans and specifications. H+U Construction has solicited multiple prime contractors on behalf of the City to perform various scopes of work and have provided competitive solicitation.
