BACKGROUND Anoka County is proposing to reconstruct Birch Street from Hokah Drive to Deerwood Lane in 2021. The improvements include construction of roundabouts at Tomahawk Trail and West Shadow Lake Drive, storm water quality improvements, water main improvements, utility and pedestrian trail improvements, and appurtenant work. On April 13, 2020, the City Council approved a Joint Powers Agreement between Anoka County and the City of Lino Lakes. The design of the project is almost complete and the County plans to bid the project in January, 2021. In order to meet State Aid design requirements and be eligible for Municipal State Aid funds, the City Council of Lino Lakes is required to pass a No Parking resolution along Birch Street. The No Parking resolution also includes portions of Tomahawk Trail and West Shadow Lake Drive due to the roundabout layouts. Anoka County has confirmed that the school district is aware of the no parking restrictions.
