RESOLUTION
The following resolution was adopted by the Village of Lino
Lakes, Anok a County, Minnesota, at a regular Council meeting
held on the 13th day of April, 1970, on a motion offered by
Mayor Ralph M. L'Allier, seconded by Trustee Ronald J. Jaworski,
which carried unanimously, to wit:
THAT the Village Clerk -Treasurer send to our present
legislators, as well as the persons who will be running for
those legislative positions in 1970, a request that they
consider sponsoring a bill authorizing State Aid Road monies
to municipalities under 5,000 population since the present
law discriminates against those municipalities having a
population less than 5,000.

I received a copy of your resolution that you passed on April 13, 1970,
concerning the State Aid Road Monies as it affects municipalities under
5,000 population. Not having served on the highway committee, I am not
familiar with the way these monies are distributed. However, I can
assure you and the members of your council that I will do what I can
to improve the situation next session. I am sure when that time comes
you can enlighten me as to that you would like to see done. We will
work on getting that type of legislation enacted.
Representative Charles Weaver, of Anoka, is vice—chairman of the highway
committee and as you know, he and I have worked very closely together
in the past to bring about legislation that will be beneficial to our
northern area. I am sure he would be most interested in this also.
I would like to assure your council that I am ready and willing to work
with them in any way possible that will be beneficial to the Village of
Lino Lakes. Now I believe is the time when we should be thinking about
legislation for the 197 1 session. If we wait until the session starts
so often the legislation gets buried in the last minute rush to get law
enacted. If there is anything else that you feel would be good for us,
foi your area in particular, I would very much appreciate hearing from
yo or any of the members on the council.
