<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY ORDINANCE REGULATING THEā¢DISCHARGE OF
<br />FIREARMS WITHIN THE CITY.
<br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota,
<br />ordains:
<br />SECTION I. Section ,1 of Ordinance No. 27, passed by the City Council
<br />on August 8, 1960, which states as follows;
<br />SECTION I. It shall be unlawful to shoot, fire off, dis-
<br />charge or explode any gun, pistol, revolver or other
<br />firearm or device which ejects a projectile, upon or
<br />onto;
<br />(a) Any road, street, avenue, sidewalk or other public
<br />place in this Village.
<br />(b) Lands lying Southerly of the center line of Lilac
<br />Street whici are Westerly of the center line of Lake Drive
<br />(U.S. Highway No. 8) as the same are now laid out and
<br />travelled.
<br />is hereby amended by adding the following:
<br />(c) Any City or County park or other City owned lands oro:
<br />waters.
<br />(d) All lands and waters, in the City of Lino Lakes, ltrny
<br />Westerly of Hodgson Road and North of County Road J, and any other areas
<br />which may be, from time to time, designated by the City Council, by
<br />resolution, a copy of which shall be kept on file in the Clerk -Treasure-'
<br />office of the City and open to public inspection are regular office hours.
<br />(e) Any lands and waters within the City now owned by
<br />the person so shooting, firing off, discharging or exploding any gun,
<br />pistol, revolvers, or other firearm or device which ejects a projectile,
<br />unless the person doing so has on his person the written consent of the
<br />owner of such lands.
<br />SECTION II. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 27, of the City of Lino Lakes,
<br />so passed by the City Council on August 8, 1960, is hereby amended to
<br />read as follows:
<br />It shall be unlawful, and a misdemeanor, to hunt for any
<br />animal or animals, bird or birds, ,to shoot, fire off,
<br />discharge or explode any single ball ammunition in the City, except
<br />opon ranges permited by the City Council The Chief -Of ,Pcil,ice may issue
<br />special permits for the slaughtering of domestic animals with single shot
<br />ammunition. '
<br />SECTION III. Ordinance No. 27, of the City of; Lino Lake passed by
<br />the City Council on August 8, 1960, is hereby further amended by adding
<br />the following:
<br />SECTION 2A. For the purposes of this Ordinance, evidence of .any of -the
<br />following, or a combination thereof, is prima facie evidence that the
<br />person doing so was hunting with or shooting or discharging single ball
<br />ammunition in violation of this Ordinance.
<br />1. The carrying of a loaded or unloaded gun, pistol,
<br />revolver, rifle or other firearm or device which ejects a projectile
<br />openly or uncase, in which single ball ammunition is generally used or
<br />discharged.
<br />2. The carrying of single ball ammunition on the person
<br />while carrying any firearm,openly or uncased, loaded or unloaded, and
<br />which firearm is capable of discharging such ammunitionCso being carried.
<br />SECTION IV. Save as herein amended, said Ordinance No. 27 shall stand
<br />and be of full force and effect as passed.
<br />SECTION V. This Ordinance shall be of full force and effect from
<br />and after its passage and publication according to law.
