HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-07-1981 Park Board Minutes PARK BOARD December, 1981 Minutes but no agenda or packet December 7, 1981 Park Board The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called to order on December 7, 1981 by Ken Johnson with the following members present: Volk, R. Johnson, K. Johnson, Flannery,Arntzen. Members absent: LeBlond, Scherer. The minutes of October 5, 1981 were approved and it was noted that due to a lack of a quorum there was no meeting on November 2, 1981. Consideration of the C.I. P. Plan The Capital Improvements Plan was updated. The Board will go over preliminary plans at the January, 1982 meeting. Archaeological Survey, Country Lakes Park A motion was made and approved to give preliminary approval for an Archeological Study on Country Lakes Park. There was a motion made and approved to give Mr. Schumacher authority to get bids on an Archeological Study for Country Lakes Park construction site. There was discussion about the possibility of starting a horse trail system in the City for horse back riding. The Park Board requested the dollar figure remaining from the V. F. W. contributions for the January, 1982 meeting. The Park Board requested that a letter of appreciation be sent to the Lino Lakes Lions Club for the construction of two shelters at Sunrise Park. There was a request for a status report on the development plan for Shenandoah Park by Doris Sullivan. The Park Board discussed problems with snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles driving through parks and destroying property. They requested that the City Council restrict activity in these areas by posting signs reading "No Recreation Vehicles Allowed". The meeting was adjourned.
