REPORTS
Lino Park Mrs. Liljedahl asked if the seats have been made for the Lino Park
Gym sets. She was told the material Is at City Hall but Mr. Hanson has not
picked up the material . The fence for the protection of spectators has not
been errected as stated in the minutes of June 28, 1976 Council meeting.
The Park is usually in good shape.
Sunrise Mr. Ringaman stated that the newest ball diamond is still there
and so are the porblems. He noted the Council has directed the problem back
to the Park Board, although, he thought that is was settled by the Park Board
n motion to remove the balifield. He wondered if the Council misunderstood the
Boards intention to remove the balifield.
Mr. Schneider asked Mr. Ringaman if the problem in the area stems only from
this balifield? Mr. Ringaman said there was another balifield in the area.
Mr. Schneider suggested there may be a breakdown in communications between
the Council and the Park Board. Mr. Schneider suggested that since the''Council
has given permission to use the area for a balifield the situation should be
tabled. There should be nothing done, no removal and no upgrading.
Mr. Ringaman stated that one of the pieces of playground equipment that is
mounted on springs is broken and others are loose and needs attention. He
noted this was brought to Mr. Volk's attention this spring but nothing was
done nor Is the equipment being checked periodically. Mr. Schneider asked
if it would help to check with Mr. Volk personally about items that need
attention. Then if no action is taken by Mr. Volk, it could be brought to
the Park Boards attention.
Mr. Ringaman felt the painting at Sunrise was not being done. The Youth
Work Program was discussed. It was felt that the Youth could be doing more
or making better use of their time.
Mr. Ringaman asked what is to be done with the brush that is piled up at
Sunrise. Will it be hauled to City Hall?
La Motte Park Mr. Gredvig and Mr. Simonson of LaMotte Drive looked at the
60' access to Centerville Lake this evening. There is heavy brush and weeds
on the lot. Mr. Gredvig would like to see the access prepared properly so
that all City residents can use it. The issue is; is it worth putting in the
access?
Mr. Ringaman read the June 28, 1976 Council minutes in regard to this matter.
Mr. SChnaiderasked if there is any opposition from the area residents?

'~ Mr. Simonson said possibly the neighbor directly adjoining the access. He
also said area residents would do the work.
Mr. Schneider said he will follow-up on the matter and contact Mr. Simonson
on Tuesday or Wednesday.
City Hail Park Mr. Resch said City Hall Park is in fairly good condition.
He would like to know what is going to be done with the diseased trees. Mrs.
Anderson is to follow-up with Mr. Volk.
Mrs. Liljedahl read a letter from the Lino Lakes Area Recreation Assn. A
copy is attached to these minutes. Mr. Resch said he had prepared plans
for the development of City Hall Park. Mr. Schneider said he had not seen
them yet.
Discussion followed regarding matters brought before the Council and reject-
ed. Something always €nterfers with the Boards plans.
Mrs. Liljedahl asked if Sunrise could be used by the L.L.A.R.A. More dis-
cussion followed.
Mr. Ringaman asked what happened to Mr. Mobley's report on the storage barn
at Sunrise Park. Mrs. Liljedahl asked what is going to happen with the pro-
posed parking lot at City Hall Park. She felt that if it is left to die now
It will not be done next year either.
Mr. Ringaman suggusted that a file be established. Each proposed project could
be numbered and put in one convenient place. This would help keep all Park
Board projects in one place and eliminate re-doing an entire project If it is
t brought up agAln. Mrs. Anderson Is to set up such a file.
Mr. Gredvig suggested drawing up a priority list of things to be done.
Mr. Resch said the next meeting will be devoted to the budget. Mr. Gredvig
asked if City employees could get cost figures on projects.
Mr. Gredvig moved to submit a list of specia€ projects items to the appro-
priate City employees for cost- estimates to be submitted to the Park Board
before the next Board meeting. Mrs. Liljedahl seconded the motion. Motion
carried with Mr. Ringaman obstaining.
