Due to the short agenda and the goal setting discussion, the entire Park Board Meeting will
be held in the Community Room beginning at 6:30pm.

***MINUTES***
1. Call to Order and Roll Call
(The meeting was called to order at 7pm. All members were present.)
2. Approval of Minutes from April 1, 2002
(Bill Kusterman made a motion to approve the April 1, 2002 minutes. Mike
O'Connor seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. Paul Montain
abstained.)
3. Setting Agenda
(There were no additions or deletions.)

4. Open Mike
(There was no one present for open mike.)
5. Discuss 2002 Park Board Goals
(There was discussion of the partial matching DNR Grant for Clearwater Creek
Park($100,000). Members discussed beginning the development of Highland
Meadows Park ($192,000.) Members also want to ensure that funds are available to
complete the Birch Park Trail(up to $20,000).
6. Recreation Update
(Members reviewed the information in the packets.)
7. Park Update
(Rick reviewed the memo in the packets.)
8. Old Business
a. Clearwater Creek Park Update
(Rick told members the status of this park. The playground raising will be
Saturday, May 18.)
b. Digital Photos and Bios of Park Board Members
(Photos were taken and bio turned into Rick.)
9. New Business
(Pam Taschuk brought up "Tobacco Free Parks and Athletic Areas Program".)
10. Next Park Board Meeting
(The next Park Board Meeting will be on Monday,June 3, 2002, 6:30pm)
11. Adjourn
(George Lindy made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Paul Montain. The meeting
adjourned at 7:40pm.)
